Description
Designed specifically for record-breaking accuracy, the Sierra MatchKing 6mm .243 70gr HPBT Bullet quickly established itself as the bullet to beat in centerfire competitions out to 400 yards. With Sierra’s traditional precision design, the HPBT gained wide and immediate acceptance.
This bullet has the famous MatchKing qualities of precise concentricity and uniformity, and it delivers incredible accuracy. In addition, this bullet is an excellent choice for the NRA half-size silhouettes. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications.
Although MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts. The 70 grain was introduced in 1974.
