Cold Hammer Forged Barrel
Cold hammer forged (CHF) barrels provide out-of-the-box accuracy that lasts longer. All Sako 90 rifles feature match-grade cold hammer forged barrels. Cold hammer forging produces accurate and durable barrels. During cold hammer forging, barrels are hammered from all sides against the mandrel inside the barrel, transferring the mirror image of the rifling machined on the surface of the mandrel.
The fluted barrel reduces weight and improves balance, delivering a nimble, carbine-like feel ideal for dense terrain and fast, controlled shooting.
