Calling the Sako 85 Hunter 375 Holland and Holland Magnum “Standard” is a serious understatement. It caters for the shooter looking to achieve top performance through innovation, while at the same time preferring classic styling and feel, making it a valued rifle to both own and shoot. It’s an “old world” platform rifle based on modern innovation, and takes you to a new level in accuracy, reliability and shooting enjoyment.
Sako 85 Hunter 375 Holland and Holland Magnum Design
The Sako 85 Hunter 375 H&H Magnum Left Hand Action hunting rifle is designed classically and elegantly but still maintains top class performance. The 85 Hunter combine a high-grade walnut stock with the superior performance and technology of the Sako 85 Series. Controlled-round feeding, silk-smooth bolt-travel movement, adjustable trigger and Total Control magazine-latch technology is only some of the amazing benefits incorporated in the new Model 85 Hunter.
The action size is matched to the cartridge featuring mechanical ejection and an integral tapered scope mount rail. Additionally there is controlled feed on all models to ensure reliable cartridge feed to the chamber in all situations (Pat. pend).
The single-set TRIGGER pull is adjustable from 1 kg to 2 kg (2 to 4 lbs).
The SAFETY features a mechanism that allows for the loading and unloading of the rifle with the safety engaged.
The high grade WALNUT STOCK features the classic lines and the high-grade finish that premium-rifle owners appreciate. The prestigious antique-style brass inlay on the pistol grip complete the graceful lines of the Sako 85 Hunter. The comb is straight, American style, while the stock sports a classic shadow-line cheekpiece reminiscent of the Safari rifles of the days of yore. The classic checkering pattern of the Hunter provides even more functionality and good looks.
The totally free-floating barrel is cold hammer-forged.
Furthermore, as with all Sako rifles, the 85 Hunter is tested to shoot 1-inch groups or better at 100 yards or more.
