The Lapua Reloading Brass 6.5 Creedmoor is designed to function in short action rifles, which is a plus for hunters who are concerned with rifle weight and compactness. Many of the same features which make for a successful competition cartridge, translate nicely to the hunting fields as well.
The 6.5 Creedmoor will prove to be a deadly performer for most species of mid-size game such as springbok, eland and even small kudu, the 6.5’s as a group, have always been known as excellent performers on game. And while the selection of high grade Match bullets in the 6.5 bore size is tremendous, there’s no shortage of exceptionally good hunting bullets available.
6.5 Creedmoor brass with small rifle primer
Made with Lapua’s typical dedication to precision, the new 6.5 Creedmoor brass case has been refined to make it an even better performer. Lapua engineers opted for the small rifle primer, which produces an optimized ignition and better accuracy than larger primers in mid-sized cartridges like the Creedmoor.
A smaller diameter 1.5mm flash hole has been incorporated, rather than the industry standard 2.0mm, which has proven to provide enhanced accuracy. In this regard, the 6.5 Creedmoor joins the ranks of other dedicated accuracy cartridges such as the .220 Russian (6mm PPC), the 6mm BR Norma, the 6.5×47 Lapua and the .308 Win. Palma cases.
Lapua Reloading Brass 6.5 Creedmoor Cartridge Features
Lapua uses a traditional draw process to manufacture most of its cartridge brass. This achieves specific hardening of the brass cases and increases their resistance to extraordinary stresses. Premium brass delivers better accuracy, more consistent velocities and a longer life.
The base, body and neck of Lapua cases have been designed to maintain exact tolerances over multiple reloading cycles. Advanced metallurgical research and manufacturing techniques ensure that Lapua Reloading Brass Cases are the benchmark in uniformity and quality. Lapua cases are manufactured to be reloaded, again and again, dozens of times
