The Howa 20 inch Compact Warrior in 6.5 PRC is the answer to shooters that demand the performance of a precision long range match rifle in a compact platform. Designed to provide Shooters and Hunters with the best of both match shooting accuracy and a very functional chassis. The compact option includes great design features, like the Warrior Gen 7 Tactical Chassis . Complete ergonomic adjustment features without compromising on design or functionality is an integral part of the Warrior Gen 7 Chassis. It comes with an extended magazine well barricade stop for a rock solid and stable rifle on obstacles ensuring pin point accuracy, shot after shot.

The newly designed butt stock comes with an adjustable cheekpiece, length of pull and height adjustable recoil pad. It also has a removable bagrider at the bottom of the stock. The longer fore-end provides ultimate adjustability for a range of user attachments. Different lengths of toprails is available to finish the for-end and for the additional attachment of accessories.

The 20 inch heavy or bull barrel profile provides exceptional stiffness for great accuracy. The shorter barrel still allows for optimum burning of the propellant resulting in good muzzle velocities. The short heavier barrel profile also creates less recoil with increased heat dissipation. It comes with a forged flat bottom receiver with an integral recoil lug. Action

The Howa M-1500 features a dual locking lug action, providing you with the same action type as some of the best custom built rifles, but at a fraction of the cost. In addition, the Bolt handle acts as a third safety lug. The bolt features a one-piece forged body and handle. Three pressure relief pots are located at the bottom of the main bolt body. An external M16 type spring loaded extractor and internal plunger ejector facilitates the ejection of empty cases. Action length is also matched to the cartridge size of the caliber.

Safety

The Howa M-1500 Models provide you with a three position safety. The safety is easy to operate and allows you to unload the rifle while it is still in safe mode. The firing pin assembly is housed in a metallic bolt shroud. All Howa M-1500 bolt actions are drilled and tapped to accept one or two piece bases for the mounting of optics.

Barrel

The free-floating hammer forged barrel has no sights for a modern look and finish. The increased diameter of the barrel will result in increased weight with less recoil. Slower heating of the barrel will also take place during a succession of shots. As with all other Howa M-1500 models, the Howa 20 inch Compact Warrior in 6.5 PRC model has a twist rate that is carefully selected for each individual caliber to optimize bullet performance and accuracy. Barrels come with a precision crown in both threaded and non threaded options.

Howa HACT 2 Stage Trigger

All Howa Rifles come standard with an adjustable HACT 2 Stage Trigger. The Howa Actuator Controlled Trigger system eliminates trigger creep and lightens the trigger pull, delivering out of the box accuracy. The trigger is set to 2.5 – 3 lb. It is finished with a serrated trigger shoe.

Warrior Gen 7 Aluminum Chassis

Warrior Gen 7 Tactical Chassis are made from 6082 aluminum. With a strong and rugged design, each Gen 7 is designed for a specific rifle model – holding the action solid for better accuracy.  It has a free floating barrel channel, which is essential for consistent accuracy. Chassis are available in a range of Cerakote colors.

Stock Grip and For-end

The Warrior Gen 7 Chassis has a Magwell Barricade Gripping Surface and shape that has been specifically designed to give a solid grip in all conditions. A grip that never slips. The For-end is wide and equipped with a bottom Picatinny Rail to accommodate the mounting of a bi-pod. The Gen 7 fits great in your hands and sits solid on barricades and platforms.

Recoil Pad

The Warrior Gen 7 Chassis has a completely redesigned Butt Stock and pistol grip. A high quality recoil pad reduces the impact of the recoil on the shooter. It is vertically adjustable, which is a very useful feature, especially on the range. Besides the length of pull adjustment, it also has an adjustable cheekpiece. The bottom is finished with a removable bagrider for additional stability.

Magazine

The Warrior Gen 7 Chassis comes standard with a metal trigger guard and a detachable polymer or metal magazine. The magazine capacity varies according to the cartridge and caliber size. The Gen 7 features a Redesigned Magazine Release therefore, making loading easier and faster.

Stock and Aluminum Bedding Block

In addition to the well-apportioned chassis the Gen 7 chassis has an aluminum bedding block that provides a very stable foundation for the Howa 1500 action. No additional bedding is needed for the action. The solid piece of aluminum between the action and the trigger guard makes it very difficult for the action to move from recoil creating the ideal stable platform for consistent accuracy. The Gen 6 also features an integrated Thumb Rest.
