The all-new Spyderco D’Allara 3 PlainEdge Black evitalizes this iconic design, maintaining its original spirit and key features while updating the design with improved materials. John D’Allara was a New York City police officer, knife enthusiast, and avid Spyderco collector who gave his life to save those of others during the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. To honor his memory, in 2003 we created a special rescue knife design that incorporated an inlay of the New York City skyline crafted from steel girders recovered from the wreckage of Tower 1. In the years since, we produced several different utilitarian versions of the D’Allara model.

This warranty covers the owner of a genuine Spyderco product for the life of the product. Spyderco, Inc. conducts its business in an honest, fair, and proper manner. Spyderco products are designed and built for use as cutting and sharpening tools. Usage of the products outside the scope of their intended purpose is considered abuse and is not covered by warranty.

Like all tools, Spyderco knives require proper maintenance to function properly and are subject to normal wear and tear. Knives and other products put to hard use for extended periods of time may eventually reach the end of their service life and should be retired from use and replaced. In addition, Spyderco offers a variety of sharpening and repair services. Lastly, depending on the repairs necessary to restore the function of your knife, a fee may be required.
