The Nosler AccuBond Long Range 6.5mm 142gr Bullet was developed in response to the escalating demand from long range hunters. Through a combination of bullet manufacturing techniques that are unique to Nosler, the design of the AccuBond Long Range Bullet allows for the highest B.C. possible in a bullet of the same caliber and weight. The Nosler AccuBond Long Range bullet design will complement today’s level of high-grade optics and ultra-high velocity cartridges. The ultimate objective is to stretch practical shooting yardages past the 1000m mark and still perform on big game animals. To accomodate these extreme parameters the AccuBond Long Range Bullet was designed to have a minimum impact velocity of 1300fps in order to reliably expand or mushroom at those much longer distances, compared to the 1800fps minimum impact velocity of all other Nosler hunting bullets. The unique tapered jacket geometry and proprietary bonding process of the AccuBond Long Range allows it to expand rapidly for effective energy transfer and significant tissue damage while retaining sufficient weight to ensure deep penetration into the vitals. As a result of the bonded lead core to the copper jacket, the AccuBond Long Range bullet will hold up to extreme velocities. To further assist performance at such a wide range of impact velocities, the copper jacket is tapered, meaning it is thin at the nose, becoming much thicker towards the boat-tail base.

The Nosler AccuBond Long Range bullet bonding process allows the AccuBond LR to perform reliably on game throughout the entire velocity range, eliminating the problem of being “too close” often encountered with other high BC bullets. The high performance boat-tail, long ogive, and polymer tip combine to make the AccuBond LR one of the sleekest, flattest shooting, bonded hunting bullets ever created. The ogive of the AccuBond Long Range is designed to provide excellent accuracy in a wide variety of firearms without the necessity of being loaded close to or in contact with the lands.
Nosler ballisticians have found that loading to the maximum SAAMI cartridge overall length tends to provide best accuracy.
