The hinged lid, like the body, are made from cast-aluminum and built into a heat resistant glass-reinforced nylon frame with built-in carry handles and two fold-away work tables. The Weber Q Series Grills are preferred by many for their ability to retain higher cooking temperatures for longer, the Q 2200 comes with a pair of porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates which offer a comfortable 189 (sq. in) cooking area which is sufficient to cater for up to six people, despite the unit being classed as a ‘portable’!
