Tikka T3x TAC A1 and 223 Remington Combination
The Tikka T3x TAC A1 chambered in the 223 Remington Caliber, is a specialist plains game rifle. The 6mm projectile has proven itself from long range gong shoots to a great caliber for medium to longer distance hunting. The range of bullets that is most popular is in the 70 to 100 grain range.
The flat trajectories with a muzzle velocity around the 2850 to 3350 ft/s mark, makes this a useful rifle for hunting medium bodied antelope. The ability of the 223 Remington Caliber to achieve excellent velocity with moderate recoil and still deliver penetration and pinpoint accuracy makes it a great choice for varmint shooters and hunters alike.

Tikka T3x TAC A1 in 223 Remington Overview
The Tikka T3x TAC A1 is fully modular. It was developed based on the comprehensive field tests and the feedback received from relevant operators with different backgrounds. As a result the new rifle is at the same time ideally multi-functional, though light in weight, compact and rugged. It has some unique features that are not available in any other rifle in it’s price class and offer the shooter great value for money.
Tikka TAC A1 Stock
The Tikka TAC A1 stock comes with Quick Detach sling attachment points and features a bottom Picatinny rail to accept a monopod. The soft rubber recoil pad is also height adjustable to suit the shooters specific requirements.
The length of pull and comb height are adjustable. The stock was designed to create an in-line recoil path that manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock providing maximum accuracy potential. It is completely ambidextrous.
This Tikka TAC A1 comes with a fixed stock or left-folding stock hinge. It is attached to an AR-style buffer tube. The hinge is entirely steel for durability and opens with a simple button press on top. It locks in the fully open position as well as the closed. The aluminum chassis stock system is compatible with most common type AR fore-ends, pistol grips and rear stocks. The pistol grip is also an AR standardized part. Tikka TAC A1 Barrel
The Tikka TAC A1 comes with a cold hammer-forged steel barrel. Therefore, minimum bore and groove dimensions, minimum head space and centralized chamber. The barrel is also pre-threaded to accept a Muzzle Brake or Suppressor. The muzzle is precision crowned for match accuracy. A further advantage of Tikka rifles is the throat geometry which is not nearly as sensitive to seating depth as some manufacturers. Therefore, is one of the reasons why the rifles shoot so well. Similarly, with a large number of factory ammunition and bullets.
Tikka TAC A1 For-end and Chassis
The interchangeable M-LOK for-end is made of hard anodized aluminum. It features M-LOK slots on all four sides for easy mounting of M-LOK compatible rails and accessories. The Chassis also has a full aluminium bedding and the for-end also has a full length tactical rail on top.
Tikka TAC A1 Bolt Action and Magazine
The “Upper” receiver and one-piece bolt construction are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened steel. It houses the two-lug bolt with the plunger ejector and a smooth-running, full diameter bolt body. The Bolt body has a Teflon coating for corrosion resistance, smooth operation and durability. It has an oversized bolt handle for positive bolt manipulation. The Tikka TAC A1 comes standard with a Zero MOA Picatinny Rail for the mounting of optics. The bolt shroud is metal. The “Lower” magazine well halves are precision machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum. It is then hard coat anodized for maximum durability. The magazine well front is also contoured for a positive grip when bracing against shooting supports. The metal magazine has a 10 round capacity.
Tikka TAC A1 Trigger and Safety
The Tikka TAC A1 has a two way safety. The two-position safety catch, locks the bolt closed. It now has an additional lever to its front that, when pressed, allows the bolt handle to lift and the gun to be unloaded when safe. The trigger is a two stage, adjustable trigger. From 1000 gram to 2000 gram (factory set to break at 1800 gram). It can be easily adjusted from inside the magazine well.
