Designed by renowned custom knifemaker Ed Schempp, the Spyderco Rock Salt Orange Sprint Run is an all-purpose “camp” knife inspired by Schempp’s experiences as a competitive cutting champion. The unique downward angle of its handle in relation to the blade allows the user to maintain a strong wrist position during use, ensuring maximum power and control. Although deceptively lightweight for its size, the Rock Salt cuts with the authority of a much heavier knife while greatly reducing user fatigue. The original Rock Salt was introduced in 2008 and was the largest knife to feature H-1® steel—an extraordinary nitrogen-based alloy that is extremely corrosion resistant.

• So, this limited-edition Sprint Run of the Rock Salt faithfully replicates the spirit and detail of the original, including its broad, hollow-ground H-1 blade, full-tang construction, and practically immunity to rust.
• Its injection-molded  fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle scales are identical in form to the black scales of the original version, but feature a distinctive high-visibility orange color.
• Like the original scales, they also include Spyderco’s signature Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for a positive grip in even the most demanding conditions.
• In addition, the Rock Salt’s injection molded polymer sheath features a symmetrical design that supports ambidextrous carry. Snap-fit retention locks the knife securely into the sheath, while a firm pull or thumb push-off releases it smoothly without the need for straps or other retention devices.
• A G-Clip™ attachment allows the sheath to be worn either vertically or in a canted position on the belt and is reversible for left or right-side carry.
• Eyelets around the perimeter of the sheath can also be used to lash the knife to packs, military webbing, and other platforms.

Above all, this warranty covers the owner of a genuine Spyderco product for the life of the product. Therefore, Spyderco, Inc. conducts its business in an honest, fair, and proper manner. Spyderco products are designed and built for use as cutting and sharpening tools. Usage of the products outside the scope of their intended purpose is considered abuse and is not covered by warranty.

Like all tools, Spyderco knives require proper maintenance to function properly and are subject to normal wear and tear. Knives and other products put to hard use for extended periods of time may eventually reach the end of their service life and should be retired from use and replaced. In addition, Spyderco offers a variety of sharpening and repair services. Lastly, depending on the repairs necessary to restore the function of your knife, a fee may be required.
