Sako TRG 22 – Accuracy Concept Rifle

The Sako TRG 22 308 Winchester Black Accuracy Concept Rifle serves several military and law enforcement organizations as their primary sniper rifle weapon system. The TRG is also used by long-range competition shooters and is a CISM competition winner. The Sako TRG 22 in .308 Winchester caliber can handle a multitude of accuracy tasks and is a thoroughbred 300m ISSF Standard Competition Rifle.

Sako TRG 22 Stock & Recoil Pad

The TRG 22 update introduces an improved recoil pad with updated material to reduce the recoil, allowing for better control and shot recovery.The rear stock is adjustable in height and cast off/on, and features a laterally & vertically adjustable cheek-piece. The butt plate is adjustable for distance, height, pitch and angle through the use of spacers. The stock is designed for right or left handed shooters, the fore-stock features integral slot for fast mounting/dismounting a TRG adjustable steel bipod.

Sako TRG 22 Bolt & Receivers

All TRG receivers are drilled and tapped for a Picatinny rail, the bolt is black in all Sako TRG configurations. Configurations include either a black stock with a blued receiver and barrel, a stealth black stock with a phosphatized action and barrel or a green stock with phosphatized action and barrel – all come with a black 3-locking lug bolt, with 60° degree opening angle for fast bolt throw, reliable extractor and active ejector. The TRG bolt handle attachment has been improved to withstand even the roughest handling.

Sako TRG 22 Trigger Mechanism

The 2013 Sako TRG update also introduced a new trigger mechanism. Above all, it is for both the Sako TRG 22 and Sako 42 models. The new trigger mechanism ensures improved safety measures in case the rifle is accidentally dropped. It also features a new safety lever. It is ergonomically positioned and designed to make it faster and more convenient to use. The Sako TRG 22 competition rifle has a reliable feed for various ammunition types.

Sako TRG 22 Frame & Barrel

The solid vault-like action frame is cold hammer-forged from special steel alloy. Integral 17 mm axial scope mounting rails have integral recoil stop-slots on the top of the receiver. The sturdy bolt with three locking lugs feeds rounds flawlessly from the center-line of a detachable staggered 2-row magazine. The bolt lift is at a 60° angle for fast bolt throw. The receiver is stabilized with three fastening screws.

Sako TRG 22 Magazines

The reliable Sako TRG magazines are fully detachable, center-feeding 2 row staggered and feature buttons on both sides providing better grip with fast & easy detaching. Magazine capacities are 10 rounds for .308 Winchester calibers, 7 rounds for .300 Winchester Magnum calibers and 5 rounds for .338 Lapua Magnum.
