The Sako A7 RoughTech Range 300 Winchester Magnum Rifle is excellent for long range shooting and varmint hunting thanks to its wider stock fore-end which provides excellent support in prone position when shooting without a bi-pod. The A7 RoughTech stock has a fully integrated aluminium bedding that ensures a precise, rigid chassis, as well as a rough surface texture that ensures a solid grip in all weather conditions.

A7 RoughTech Range Recoil Pad
The Sako RoughTech Range rifle stock is equipped with an advanced high energy dissipation recoil pad. All A7 RoughTech stocks come with two 5mm spacers for length of pull adjustment. On the outside, the stock has a dappled-grey featuring on top of the black synthetic finish which gives the stock a good level of grip and comfort in all conditions.

A7 RoughTech Range Receiver
The bolt has three locking lugs in front and a 70-degree angle for fast cycling, as well as an internal black nitrated steel insert for extra durability. The Sako A7 models feature controlled cartridge feed (RCS) to eliminate double feed or cartridge jams. The turn-bolt handle places the hand in a natural position during bolt operation, which allows for rapid repeated firing. Like the Sako 85, the A7 has the famous extractor claw made of durable heat-treated steel. When the bolt forces the case back, the mechanical ejector fork ejects the case out of the rifle. The ejector is at the bottom of the rear bridge, not on the bolt face.

A7 RoughTech Range Magazine
The co-polymer magazine is also loadable from the top, when inserted in the rifle. Material is 50% nylon, 50% fiberglass, with stainless magazine spring. The polymer magazines (developed for each type of cartridge) have integral steel collars that allow loading without removing the magazine. Magazine is held in place by Total Control Latch, to prevent unintentional loosening.
