Description
The Sako A7 RoughTech Pro 243 Winchester Rifle is a true hunting rifle designed for big game hunting and was created to offer a lightweight, genuine Sako rifle at an affordable price. The Sako RoughTech stock has a fully integrated aluminium bedding that ensures a precise, rigid chassis, as well as a rough surface texture that ensures a solid grip in all weather conditions.
Sako A7 RoughTech Pro 243 Winchester Rifle Overview
The Sako A7 RoughTech Pro 243 Winchester Rifle has some unique features that are not available in any other Sako or Tikka rifles. The special steel action is made in two sizes, S and M, and to comply with available calibers, the receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting bases, the A7’s bolt has 3 locking lugs in front and a 70 Degree angle for fast cycling. Furthermore, it has a polymer magazine with integral steel feeding lips to allow for top loading without removing the magazine.

Much of the Sako A7 RoughTech’s secret lies in the newly designed stock which has an aluminium skeleton giving it maximum strength. It also gives the action a very stable platform within the stock, which is how the RoughTech Pro can provide such excellent accuracy. The black, lightweight and durable co-polymer stock provides a good grip for fast handling out in the field.

A7 RoughTech Pro Recoil Pad
The Sako Roughtech Pro rifle stock is equipped with an advanced high energy dissipation recoil pad. All A7 RoughTech stocks come with two 5mm spacers for length of pull adjustment. On the outside, the stock has a dappled-grey featuring on top of the black synthetic finish which gives the stock a good level of grip and comfort in all conditions.

A7 RoughTech Pro Receiver
The Sako A7 RoughTech Pro features a solid steel receiver with a 3 lug bolt that only needs a 70Á rotation, allowing for rapid cycling of the action and keeps the shooter’s gloved fingers between the bolt handle and scope. The A7’s receiver is drilled and tapped for mounts, and weaver style rails are available. If these are used, they have to be glued – however, they may also be replaced with suitable steel bases that are readily available on the market.

A7 RoughTech Pro Magazine
The co-polymer magazine when inserted in the rifle,is loadable from the top. The magazine material is 50% nylon and 50% fiberglass, with a stainless magazine spring. The A7’s magazine is held in place by Total Control Latch to prevent unintentional loosening and an inserted steel collar allows insertion of cartridges from above.
