Carbon Fiber Stock
The adjustability of the length-of-pull and cheek piece allow the stock to adapt to different anatomies and situations. Extremely robust, solid and light 3D-meshed carbon stock with low noise signature – to manage recoil forces and enhance the rifle’s repeatable accuracy. In other words, multi-adjustable Sako carbon fiber stock for ultimate ergonomics.
Cold Hammer Forged Barrel
Cold hammer forged (CHF) barrels provide out-of-the-box accuracy that lasts longer. All Sako 90 rifles feature match-grade cold hammer forged barrels. Cold hammer forging produces accurate and durable barrels. During cold hammer forging, barrels are hammered from all sides against the mandrel inside the barrel, transferring the mirror image of the rifling machined on the surface of the mandrel.
Bolt Action
The most reliable, field-tested and proven bolt in the market – to ensure maximum safety and robust push-feed operation. The Picatinny receiver offers a machined-in Picatinny interface for flexible optics mounting and repeatable accuracy. Sako has one of the most reliable, field tested and proven bolts on the market.
The receiver houses a one-piece, full-diameter bolt with three locking lugs locks within the barrel extension. The bolt release is on the receiver’s left side. The ejector is mounted on the receiver. The extractor is mounted on the bolthead. The Sako 90 action has both push and controlled feed characteristics. A red cocking indicator protrudes from the bolt’s rear. The one piece bolt opens with a 70° bolt handle lift.
Sako matches the size of the action to the caliber. The combination of the extractor riding low in the ejection port and the receiver mounted ejector means that fired cases leave the action at a low angle and can be neatly deposited in the shooters hand by opening the bolt slowly.
Trigger
Offers users the choice between five different weight-of-pull settings without disassembling the rifle. The trigger blade position is also adjustable. The trigger is protected by a steel trigger guard. The trigger blade position is also adjustable. Read More
