The Sako 100 Explorer Rifle chambered in the ever popular 300 Winchester Magnum Caliber is a medium to long range rifle. Introduced in 1963, the 300 Winchester Magnum is still one of the most popular 300 magnum calibers.
The .30 projectiles has proven itself from long range gong shoots to a great caliber for longer distance hunting on large bodied animals. The range of bullets that seem to be the most popular is in the 180 to 212 grain range. Trajectories with a muzzle velocity around the 2700 to 3100 ft/s mark, makes this a useful rifle for hunting in a wide variety of Habitats.
