Mauser M18 Savanna 243 Winchester Features
Polymer Stock
The Mauser M18 rifle has an injection moulded, dual compound polymer stock that features neutral cast for both left and right handed shooters. There are no artistic cuts or lines in the Mauser M18 polymer stock but the design is classy and functional with rubberized soft-grip inlays. The stock narrows to the pistol grip, and palm swells on the grip fill the hand comfortably. It offers a stable hold when firing for both left- and right-handed shooters.
Grip and For-end
The fore-end narrows near the barrel channel. Soft-touch rubber inlays in the fore-end and grip allow for a firm grasp on the gun in all conditions. It has a nice comfortable fit in hand and contribute to the rifle’s fine balance and handling characteristics. Swivel studs come standard on the stock for the attachment of a rifle sling of bi-pod.
Durable Recoil Pad
Mauser M18 Rifles are fitted with the latest recoil pad technology. It reduces the impact of the recoil on the shooter which is a very useful feature, especially on the Magnum calibers. The robust pad allows you to fully concentrate on the accuracy of your shots. The recoilpad of the M18 is also removable with an internal storage compartment.
Trigger and Safety
The extra wide trigger with a glass-sharp trigger characteristic is adjustable from 2 to 4 lb pull weight. It is easily adjustable without removing the stock.
Additionally it also comes with a silently operating three-position safety system which acts directly on the trigger sear. The three position safety combines easiest operation with maximum reliability.

Mauser M18 Bolt
Simply a legend. A one-piece, full-diameter bolt with three lugs locks within the barrel extension. The bolt release on the receiver’s left side engages a raceway machined into the bolt to provide stability and guidance during bolt travel. The handle is capped with a round, polymer knob to ensure a firm grip.
The bolt operate with a 60 degree bolt handle lift.
Barrel
The barrel on the Mauser M18 comes from the same factory and is made to the same specifications as all Sauer, Blaser and Mauser barrels. Mauser M18 barrels are hammer-forged and every Mauser M18 rifle has a 1 MOA guarantee for 5 shots shots from 100 yards. The ripple-free exterior and the minimal tooling marks on the inside are both indications of the quality of its construction. The muzzle is threaded and features a target-style crown. The barrel has a satin finish.
Bolt Extractor
Robustness and quality go hand in hand. At the face of the bolt are two plunger-style ejectors and a sliding-plate extractor. A red cocking indicator protrudes from the bolt’s rear. Mauser’s combination of the extractor riding low in the ejection port and the dual ejectors means that fired cases leave the action at a low angle. The biggest advantage from Mauser’s attention to the extractor and ejector design is that the Mauser set up is least likely to have interference issues with a low-mounted scope.
Unique Bedding System
The action bedding system of the Mauser M18 is quite unique. There is no steel recoil lug on the action. In place of the lug is a groove in the action behind the forward action screw. A machined block of steel that sits in the stock has a corresponding lug that protrudes into this groove when the stock and action are together.
Detachable Magazine
The magazine Mauser pairs with this action is a short, five-round, double-stack magazine. The removable magazine is made of tough weatherproof and temperature-resistant polymer.
Flush Fitting Magazine
Flush fitting, the removal of the magazine requires depressing a spring-loaded button located forward of the magazine well within a circular recess in the bottom metal.
Scope Mounting Options
The Mauser M18 accepts the same scope bases as a long-action Remington 700. Various aftermarket products for the Model 700 enables the Mauser M18 to use a wide variaty of scope bases. There are one- and two-piece bases made from aluminum and steel with zero or up to 40 MOA tapering. Since they all fit the Mauser, there are as many options, as one can imagine.
Mauser Warranty and Sub MOA Guarantee
The Sauer 100 product range combines long-standing gunsmith expertise with the real experiences of Sauer Hunters and Sport Shooters from all over the world. No matter which Sauer 100 you choose, 1 MOA accuracy is guaranteed at 100 yards.
