The Glock 19 GEN4 MOS 9mm Pistol is ideal for versatile use through reduced dimensions compared with the standard pistol size. With the proven caliber of 9×19, it has found worldwide distribution in security services. It is great for concealed carry or as a backup weapon.
As quick-targeting reflex sights have made their way onto defensive carry guns, GLOCK developed the G19 Gen4 in MOS configuration. This makes mounting a reflex sight on the pistol’s slide without the need for a new slide or separate mounting System quick and easy.
Glock 19 GEN4 MOS 9mm Pistol Features
The Glock 19 GEN4 MOS has several new features designed to satisfy the most demanding shooters. It is based on a full size G17/G22 MBS (multiple back strap) frame. It has a reduced short frame trigger mechanism housing. The multiple back strap system allows the user to change the circumference of the grip to fit individual hand size.
The back strap modifications doesn’t change the grip angle of the GLOCK “Safe Action” Pistol. As a result this will ensure that the shooter does not shoot high or low when modifying the back strap.
The Glock 19 GEN4 MOS also has a new Rough Textured Frame (Gen4 RTF) surface designed to enhance grip traction. This is present on the frame as well as the interchangeable back straps.
Internally, a dual recoil spring assembly replaced the original recoil spring. The dual recoil spring assembly noticeably reduces the recoil while simultaneously increasing the life cycle of the assembly.
GLOCK Test Firing
During development every GLOCK pistol is test fired with overcharged ammunition to establish its safety prior to delivery. A laser target test device was developed to precision test fire GLOCK pistols. This is to coordinate the hit pattern with the line of sight. Every GLOCK customer can rely on receiving a weapon that has been tested in the factory. It will operate reliably “out of the box” without compromises or expensive additions, guaranteed!
